A bit of unfinished business

dsc_1313

I have made a small series of Improv quilts. Yes, they are quilted but I still need to do the facings  and hanging sleeves. I think I am quite slow at this process. Oh, and I still need to make the quilt labels. This fellow is titled, “I love you just as you are”. Thanks Colin.

I Won! Lovely! So WOW!

dsc_1310

I was so surprised that I won a random giveaway. Fabric! So perfect! From Art Gallery Fabric! The Line is Lagom – which means , “just the right amount”. So fitting for someone who likes to make Improv quilts. What a great surprise! I can’t wait to see what the quilt looks like.

How to Manage Your Scrap Stash

DSC_1031

I have found the best way to organize your scrap fabrics is to sew them together.

Yay, I finally have this Improv quilt top stitched together. I plan to add some embellishment to it.

Gee, I never thought I would use “that” fabric

This is a small piece of an improv quilt that I am working on while I get to know how to use my new sewing machine.

This awful, (yes indeed), awful bright coral is from an ancient UFQ.

But wait! There’s more odd fabric going into this quilt!
